Position Description:
Maintenance Technician
M. Shapiro Real Estate Group is a growing, fast-paced property management company seeking a full-time Property Maintenance Crew Member to support our communities in the Waterford, MI area. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, self-motivated, and highly organized individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining our properties to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will support local property managers and team members with daily maintenance operations, repairs, and grounds upkeep.
Job Description
Candidates must be honest, reliable, and self-motivated. A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED are required for this position.
Applicants must have reliable transportation, be able to pass a background check, and be authorized to work in the United States.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform basic electrical work
Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance
Handle mechanical repairs, including heating and cooling systems
Perform general groundskeeping and property maintenance
Mulch and maintain flower beds
Leaf removal and seasonal clean-up
Operate and maintain lawn equipment, including mowers, leaf blowers, and weed whackers
Mowing, weeding, edging, and trimming
Respond to maintenance emergencies and urgent repair requests
Repair buildings, equipment, and common areas
Assist with renovation and remodeling of trailers
Maintain records of scheduled maintenance and service requests
Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotations
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements and Skills
Working knowledge of basic office equipment
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience preferred
Job Type: Full-Time
