LINE COOK at TAPSIDE PIZZA LLC – Belmont, North Carolina

As a line cook at Tapside Pizza, you will provide a great guest experience by preparing and cooking high quality ingredients per our recipes. Our line cooks work well under pressure and pride themselves on being detail oriented. Cleanliness, safety and sanitation are a must.

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to restaurant standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
• Set up and stock assigned station(s) with necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before service.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and preparation methods to maintain quality and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation throughout service.
• Assist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and labeling ingredients.
• Communicate effectively with Director of Operations
• Monitor food quality and freshness; report any issues to Director of Operations
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Properly store and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions.
• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment breakdown.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, respectful kitchen culture.

Education & Experience

• Previous experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Great communication skills.
• An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within a team.
• Must be 18 years or older

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (including trash bags).
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, twisting, carrying of objects and repetitive hand and wrist motions.
• Working with hot, cold and hazardous materials and equipment.
• Non-slip shoes required
