Purchasing Specialist - Smithville Office Part Time at CUREXA - EAST LLC – Galloway, New Jersey

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will hold a pivotal role within the procurement process and Procurement team, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. Inventory control, contract management, and supplier/vendor management will be crucial in maintaining efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

- Continuously maintain and improve upon procurement strategies to meet organizational needs

- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers/vendors and evaluate their capabilities

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers/vendors to ensure favorable terms and cost savings

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements and provide guidance on sourcing options

- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier/vendor information

- Evaluate supplier/vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing metrics

- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role, although not entirely necessary

- Ideally, a strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, and contract management

- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing

- Solid understanding or willingness to learn sourcing strategies and supplier/vendor management principles

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions

Rate of Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
