About This Position
Oneida Professional Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Warehouse Specialist to support our warehousing and material management operations. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of a full range of warehouse duties, including receiving, storing, inventorying, and shipping materials, while adhering to established storage plans and safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, experience working with inventory systems, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming materials against receiving documents, reporting any discrepancies or damage.
- Route materials to designated storage locations and record all transactions in the Navy ERP system.
- Store, stack, and palletize materials in accordance with established storage methods and facility plans.
- Maintain warehouse organization and routinely inspect stored materials for deterioration or damage.
- Conduct spot inventory counts and verify physical inventory against system records.
- Perform causative research to resolve material or storage discrepancies.
- Prepare outbound materials by selecting appropriate packaging, applying protective materials, sealing containers, and labeling shipments accurately.
- Operate light trucks, passenger vehicles, and manually-controlled forklifts to transport materials safely and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience performing warehouse, material handling, or logistics tasks.
- Ability to safely operate light vehicles and forklifts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
- Proficiency with inventory systems; Navy ERP experience preferred.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a federal, military, or government warehouse environment.
- Forklift certification.
- Familiarity with Navy ERP or similar enterprise resource systems.
