Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring an Unit Clerk to join our Emergency Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: CMH Emergency department is a 12 bed unit. We are a Level III Trauma Center; Level III Stroke Center; Level II STEMI Center; and Acute Stroke Ready Center. CMH Emergency Department provides prompt, quality care (including assessment, intervention, evaluation, and referral) to all persons presenting to the Emergency Department.

A typical day includes: Provides excellent quality of care to Emergency Department patients and performs as a team member by assisting the clinical staff in maintaining a clean, efficient Emergency Department; utilizes interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively as a team member. Assist in providing safe, appropriate care to patients. Is able to document appropriate written communication in Emergency Department record. Helps provide a clean, pleasant environment within the department for patient care. Maintains service excellence as a priority at all times;

• Performs inventory of equipment in department, assures it is in the proper location within the department and assists in locating missing equipment.
• Maintains and scans into the patient chart necessary documentation to include, but not limited to: consults, signed consents, Advanced directives, signed discharge forms, BAT consults, etc.
• Communicates and assists Emergency Department Patient access to the identification and contact information of patients seen in the ER.
• Documents in ED patient records in an accurate and timely fashion.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year emergency department experience preferred
• Skills: organization, able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking
• Licensure/Certification: CPI Training at appropriate level within one year, renewed annually
• Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

The position is Part Time, Nights.
