Nurse Tech II at Randolph Health – Asheboro, North Carolina

Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to acutely ill patients, and assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Is able to perform general nurse assistant duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Performs clerical and receptionist duties on a nursing unit. Answers telephone and intercom. Enters data, orders, and other patient information to generate requisitions. Assists charge nurse with coordination of unit activities. Organizes and maintains chart materials, forms, office supplies, etc. High school diploma or GED required. Current listing on the Nurse Aide registry in North Carolina. Will be required to successfully complete class in Information Technology for unit secretaries. Eight to twelve weeks required to demonstrate skills.

Successful completion of basic BCLS. Ability to read and communicate in English. Additional languages preferred. Knowledge of clinical departments of the hospital.

Concentration may be frequently broken. Must be flexible and able to prioritize.

Prior hospital/health care experience preferred. Computer training preferred. Medical terminology preferred.
