This vital role ensures the quality and integrity of all raw materials received. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, including corrugated products, to verify compliance with established quality standards. The role supports the Quality Assurance Department by identifying and addressing quality issues, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive inspections of all inbound raw materials, including corrugated materials, to ensure adherence to company quality specifications and regulatory standards.
· Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to assess material quality, including visual inspections, measurements, and testing as required.
· Document findings meticulously, identifying any deviations or defects, and promptly report them to the Quality Assurance Manager.
· Manage the creation and submission of detailed quality reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
· Analyze inspection data to identify trends or recurring quality issues and recommend improvements to the quality assurance processes.
· Oversee and refine the reporting processes to ensure they align with departmental objectives and industry best practices.
· Work closely with suppliers to foster positive relationships.
· Liaise with internal departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to resolve quality-related issues effectively and efficiently.
· Provide feedback and insights to the Quality Assurance Manager to support strategic decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
· Assist in the development and implementation of new quality control protocols and procedures as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
· Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives to enhance overall product and process quality.
· Collaborate with Warehouse personnel on a storage system for all nonconforming raw materials and with the Quality Assurance Manager on the disposition of them.
· Conduct inspections on returned customer product and work with the Quality Assurance Manager to determine disposition.
· Undertake additional responsibilities within the Quality Department as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.
· Must be able to climb stairs, sit and stand for long periods, and type for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Work Location: In person
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role, with experience in material handling or the packaging industry considered an asset.
· Proficiency in the use of quality inspection tools, measurement instruments, and reporting systems.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
· Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001 is highly desirable.
· Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
· Overtime/Weekends/Holidays will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
· Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
