About This Position

About Current Clinic Management, LLC

Millions of people live with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), a chronic condition that is often debilitating and under-treated. Access to timely, specialized care from electrophysiologists (EPs) remains a persistent challenge in many communities. Current Clinic is pioneering a new model, establishing a network of specialized, EP-focused ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) to expand capacity and bring life-changing treatment closer to home.

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. You will support the clinic’s operations by managing communications, scheduling, and administrative tasks, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service and confidentiality. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialized cardiac care setting, allowing you to develop new skills in healthcare administration while learning directly from experienced clinical professionals.

This role is based out of our Carlsbad location and expected to be onsite Monday through Friday.

What you will be doing

  • Answer multiple phone lines in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize provider availability.
  • Utilize computer systems to search for and obtain necessary insurance information from various websites, supporting patient registration and billing processes.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Greet patients professionally both in person and over the phone, creating a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Notify clinical staff promptly of patient arrivals to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain business inventory by checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and coordinating maintenance repairs as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical proficiency, including familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and other office technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients
  • Willingness to take instruction from providers, clinical/nursing staff, and administration, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of patient interaction and administrative work
  • Ability to liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism, maintaining a collaborative work environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information in accordance with clinic policies.
  • At least one year of experience working in a clinical office setting is required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Bonus Points

  • Additional relevant experience or specialized skills related to healthcare administration or patient services are a plus
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
