Job Description
Position Summary
This position primarily operates and maintains water/wastewater treatment, processing, disposal, and testing equipment in water/wastewater in manufacturing environment.
Compensation
The expected hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the operation control panel, ensuring all systems function correctly and efficiently.
- Follows procedures regarding cleaning, equipment uses, maintenance, calibration, and safe handling of chemicals.
- Conduct regular calibration of PH Meters and maintenance of probes.
- Oversee tank levels and maintain communication with the metal finishing department.
- Diligently document operations and maintain logs at regular intervals.
- Perform physical checks of the neutralization reactor and clarifier, ensuring optimal performance.
- Manage waste treatment processes, including the operation of the oil skimmer and proper handling of waste materials.
- Uphold general housekeeping standards and adhere to scheduled preventative maintenance routines.
- Recording data, operational actions and gauge readings
- Assist in other areas as needed while ensuring all work is done in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Adding chemicals to ensure nominal PH levels are maintained.
- Collecting and testing water samples.

Required Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- One year of previous manufacturing experience.
- At least one year of relevant experience is desirable, with a Class K license or the commitment to obtain it within one year of joining.
- Availability to work weekends is a must.

Work Environment
- This position works in a warehouse setting with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment such as power tools including but not limited to hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, ladders, and box cutters among others.
