Position Summary:
The Department of Individual, Family, & CommunityEducation seeks to hire temporary part-time faculty to teach in the fields ofNutrition, Counselor Education, Educational Psychology, and Family and ChildStudies.
The Department of IFCE houses four diverse, butinterconnected, programs that prepare students to address the myriad issuesfaced by the State of New Mexico. Our faculty members are leaders in theirdisciplines of Counselor Education, Educational Psychology, Family and ChildStudies, and Nutrition; although each of these programs reflect differentprofessional fields and identities, we all have shared values of humandevelopment, diversity, and excellence in scholarship and teaching. Positions are contingent upon need each semester asdetermined by student enrollment, course offering, and demand driven bygraduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester upto the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who areselected for these positions will report to the IFCE Department Chair. These positions will remain open until filled.

3.Potential to teach or demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.
4.A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
5.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
