POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time CWA position, and days of work and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: Those non-faculty employees in the “NE” category of employment may have irregular or variable work hours. The compensatory time policy for NL employees below applies to “NE” employees up to 40 hours per week. Beyond 40 hours, the overtime policy for fixed workweek employees applies (i.e., rate of time and one-half in payment or compensatory time).
Salary Range - (CWA - P16 - Steps 1-3)
$51,479-$56,134
Internal applicants' salary is based on union-negotiated calculations

JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant for Student Conduct Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of Student Conduct. The position includes responsibilities as an administrative assistant, compiling and distributing all materials associated with campus disciplinary proceedings, maintaining the student conduct records, and distributing relevant lists to campus partners. The Assistant for Student Conduct Operations is a full-time, 12-month position in the Office of Student Conduct.
Examples of DutiesDUTIES
Acts as an Administrative Assistant to the Office of Student Conduct. Responsible for all correspondence for the department. Reserves meeting space, coordinates meetings, and provides input for improving service to students. Maintains a strict adherence to confidentiality.
Schedules all College Disciplinary Review Board Hearings. Responsible for independently preparing case files of a confidential nature for the disciplinary hearing applying the College’s Code of Conduct policy. Requires liaising with many college/internal and external agencies.
Maintains and updates lists of all College Disciplinary Review Board members. Arranges rooms, contacts volunteers, and coordinates all administrative processes involved with College Disciplinary Review Board hearings.
Schedules all College Disciplinary Hearings with approximately 8 Residence Life administrative hearing officers, and the hearings for the Director of Student Conduct. Works closely with the Residence Life administrative hearing officers in arranging their hearing schedules. Sends written notification (via Maxient) of disciplinary proceedings and outcomes to both students and appropriate staff in accordance with due process as set forth in the Code of Conduct.
Assists the Director with the oversight of student due process rights. Generate and analyze Maxient reports and notify the Director of approaching deadlines related to student discipline cases
Processes all Hearing Results Forms (findings), follow through with hearing officers, and distribute findings to students and colleagues (as needed) via Maxient.
Utilizes Maxient to maintain critical information, sanction tracking, and Clery report collection.
Compiles Clery Act related incident reports for the Director. Maintains current Checkpoint and On-Line Alcohol and Cannabis Education lists.
Maintains both active student discipline files and archives. Responsible for annual review of student files for the purpose of destruction.
Responsible for inputting disciplinary fines into the Banner Information System.
Responsible for placing and removing conduct related registrations holds on student accounts in the Banner Information System.
Maintains and distributes the college Restricted Access List and related correspondence for regular distribution.
Responsible for, with little supervision, reading, interpreting, and applying/acting upon department policy regarding disciplinary hearings and requests for local, county, and state agencies.
Independently manages local, State, and Federal background checks and release of information for students, former students, and alumni. Act as liaison to all other departments and offices on campus, seeking background information related to current students.
Prepares requisitions for supplies, services, and conference attendance by using Banner (in a timely manner). Monitors blanket orders, purchases supplies, orders print shop/letterhead/envelopes. Maintains compliance with purchasing rules and regulations.
Assists the core in distributing Public Safety reports (and all reports associated with an incident) to relevant core members with a need to know.
Organizational Security Responsibilities: This position requires adherence to the organization's information security policies and procedures. All employees share responsibility for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s mission essential IT assets, regardless of role. Individuals in this role are expected to apply appropriate safeguards, participate in required security awareness training, and promptly report potential security incidents in accordance with institutional policies.

EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years of professional position-related experience (Administrative/Secretarial/Clerical) OR Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.OR Possession of an associate's degree; and two (2) years of professional position-related experience.
NOTE:"Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree.
NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis. NOTE: Applicants who possess an Associate’s degree may substitute two (2) years of position-related experience for the remaining two(2) years of education.
ADDITIONAL
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and be well organized. Must be able to manage projects, reports, and assignments that involve sensitive materials that are highly confidential.
