The Food Service Worker is an essential position in our food service department that is responsible for providing our guests with quality food products. The FSW will be preparing sandwiches and other items to order and in bulk. You will also greet guests and answer any questions they may have about our menu. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and will require learning and maintaining proper food safety procedures. The FSW will prepare food to our standardized recipes and in accordance with the guest's order and assist the Kitchen Supervisor with our salad bar operation

• Review, prepare, and serve fresh food items in a timely manner
• Execute daily line checks to ensure proper temperatures and quality are being upheld
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
• Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
• Serve food as well as maintain our standards for our salad bar operation
• Prepare food items and condiments
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards for handling, preparing, and storing ingredients
• Review inventory and expiration dates
• Cleans work areas, equipment, pans, and utensils
• Answer questions from guest and staff regarding menu items
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Full knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety and security procedures

Full knowledge menu items and presentations

Demonstrate excellent listening skills

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to assist guests, fellow team members and management

Strong skills in time management and organization, with excellent attention to detail

Ability to read and take direction and execute objectives with an attitude of courtesy and cooperation

Math skills to complete recipes and par work sheets accurately

Analytical skills and a degree of emotional intelligence to recognize and solve problems

Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time

Must be reliable and dependable by being punctual, adhering to a schedule

Maintain positive working relationships with all Team Members and Managers

The physical ability to stand, use hands, stoop, kneel or crouch, and lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds

ServSafe certification desired, but may be obtained after hire
