Blue Ox Transport, a top-performing FedEx Ground contractor, is hiring an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. This is a Sunday - Thursday 8:30 am- 7:00 pm

About the Role

This position supports our operation by stepping into key support duties providing light vehicle maintenance, driver training and some dispatching as well as running assigned and unassigned linehaul routes.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement 2+ yr min
• 2+ year of verifiable Class A driving experience
• Safe driving record
• Professional attitude and strong communication skills
• Basical mechanical skills
• Previous managerial experience with Class A drivers/Fleets a plus

Compensation & Incentives

$78,000 Base + Premiums (Up to $112,000)

Night-Shift Premium

• +$500 per full week of overnight coverage
• • Approximately 2 weeks per year
  • Estimated annual value: $1,000

Driving Shift Coverage Bonus

• +$75 per full driving shift
• • Target: 3 driving shifts per week (≈156 shifts/year)
  • Estimated annual value: $11,700

Certification Incentives

Certifications recognize mastery of critical leadership and operational skills. **prorated in the year earned.

Trainer Certification

• • +$6,000 annually
  • Awarded after passing test and demonstrating complete driver training capability

Operations Manager Certification

• • +$8,000 annually

Eligible upon meeting mastery requirements for:

• • Demonstrate proficiency in using the phone system for communication and operational tasks.
  • Effectively manage a wide range of situations that may arise during daily operations.
  • Exhibit independent decision-making skills, resolving issues promptly and confidently.
  • Make sound decisions that align with financial goals and maximize operational KPI performance.
  • Show creativity in problem-solving and scheduling to optimize fleet utilization and maximize mileage efficiency.
