Pharmacy Technician II at Southwestern Vermont Health Care – Bennington, Vermont

The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for assisting in the preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications to the patients of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Qualifications

Registered Technicians:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Have a high school or equivalent diploma, or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required within 9 months from date of hire.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.

Certified Technicians:

• Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations

Requirements: Registered Technicians: — Registered Pharmacy Technician with the VT Board of Pharmacy required. BLS Certification required for Pharmacy Technicians if required to administer immunizations
