About This Position
SUMMARY:
The Mechanic II must have the ability to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and preventive maintenance schedules.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in general maintenance, preferably in hospital maintenance. Certifications: Obtain Industrial Fork lift operators certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer date. Must be able to acquire an Arkansas Boiler License within one year from start of boiler training. Must obtain and hold an Arkansas Hospital Plumbers license within 2 years of date of hire/transfer date. Obtain and hold an industrial Electrician license 1 year before moving to Mechanic III position. Other: Must hold and keep a current Arkansas driver’s license and a driving record that meets and maintains requirements set forth by the hospital insurance carrier. Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Conditions may be unpleasant at times due to dust, dirt, heat and cold. Required to wear PPE. Work Environment: Work setting, within a hospital environment, all departments and boiler room. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Maintenance staff is as needed per shift requirements.Scan to Apply
