Lab Specimen Processor at Renstar Medical Research – Ocala, Florida

Overview:

Renstar is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to operate our in-house laboratory. This role supports clinical operations through specimen processing, CLIA-waived testing, and sample preparation for shipment. This position does not require a licensed or certified laboratory technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process blood and other specimens according to established procedures
• Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing only
• Properly label, package, and prepare specimens for shipment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, safety, and company protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment
• Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Prior experience in a clinical, laboratory, medical office, or healthcare setting preferred
• Comfortable handling blood and biological specimens
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow written procedures and protocols
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• This position does not require a certified or licensed laboratory technician
• No moderate or high-complexity testing performed

Training:

• On-the-job training provided
• CLIA-waived testing protocols will be reviewed upon hire

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity for specimen handling
• Ability to lift up to [30] lbs. if applicable
