VP, Commercial Loan Officer at Winchester Savings Bank – Winchester, Massachusetts

Summary/Objective

Attracts, develops & maintains CRE & C&I business relationships within the Bank’s lending radius. Expands commercial lending and commercial deposit relationships by actively cross-selling other bank products and services.

Essential Functions

• Generates new business opportunities within the bank's defined lending area to attract and retain quality clients.
• Effectively screens new loan applicants; collects and analyzes financial and related data to establish creditworthiness; ensures the timely submission of a complete application with supporting documentation to create a smooth process from application to loan closing.
• Able to negotiate credit terms & conditions and structure loans in compliance with bank policies.
• Provides timely completion of file comments upon receipt & review of annual financial information
• Promotes and sells related bank financial products and services as appropriate
• Develops and maintains a network of professional relationships for referrals
• Participates in community activities to promote and strengthen the image of the bank.

Competencies

• Experienced in negotiating and structuring a range of CRE & C&I deals from simple to complex;
• Solid financial analysis skills
• Understands loan documentation
• Strong organizational, reasoning & communication skills;
• Works well in a team environment;
• Self-motivated and independent with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

Required education and Experience

• 3 years of Commercial Credit experience and/or Lending Officer Training Program; or 3 years of commercial lending experience.
