Work hours: PRN Days

Radiology Breast Center Department highlights:

Here's What You Need

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required

• Associate degree preferred

• 1 year of clinical experience in Mammography preferred or

• Meet the Mammography requirements as stated in Federal Register for MQSA in Final Rules, Part 900 12(a)(2) preferred

• 1 year of clinical experience in Mammography highly preferred

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography required and

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography upon hire preferred or

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography within 12 months required and

• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

• Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities

• Schedule staff to provide adequate staff coverage including vacation schedules, absenteeism and turnover

• Oversee orientation, training and cross-training of new staff to department, assesses their ability to work independently, communicates policies and procedures to staff, and verifies orientation paperwork

• Assist in implementing and monitoring performance evaluation procedures, establishing professional development goals, and counseling staff on an ongoing basis as appropriate.

• Act as a technical resource for staff by providing ongoing instruction and assistance with procedures, equipment and PAC

• Perform mammograms and diagnostic radiographs.

• Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines.
