Supplier Quality Technician at Rely Innovations – Janesville, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for verifying piece part & assembly conformance to the required specifications. Support the Receiving Inspection Team and Supplier Quality through inspecting product assigned additional tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in product re-inspection or failure validation as needed.
2. Participate in stand-up meetings and provide feedback to requests from team and management.
3. Build Inspection plans, QSWI, QSPs and other supporting documentation for Supplier Processes.
4. Maintain vendor information such as certification lot, approval documents and matrixes and review for accuracy.
5. Strong communication and organizational skills required.
6. Ensure compliance to customer requirements as well as AMTEC’s Quality Management System.
7. Manage and maintain MRB system as well as run MRB meetings and follow-up on open items.
8. Will be working with a large range of personnel such as Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, various management resources and representatives from the U.S.G. Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively to all levels of the business.
9. Provide assistance to engineering team on Failure Analysis and FAI material inspection reporting. Verification of rejections.
10. Train on and program equipment in the lab including but not limited to: Smart scope, Keyence 6000 & 8000 Series, CMM, Force Testers Etc.
11. Basic Microsoft skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. are needed to create reports on inspection and like-2 items.
12. Regular attendance is required.
13. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No supervisory responsibility with this position.

POSITION TYPE: This is a Salaried-Exempt full-time position.

TRAVEL: Travel (less than 25% of work time).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years Quality Assurance / Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of quality systems and problem solving skills (ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Failure Analysis)
