Job Summary:
The Loss Prevention Officer will safeguard company assets, prevent and minimize theft, and reduce shortages and fraud.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Duties/Responsibilities:· Oversees the installation of new security equipment such as security tags, mirrors, surveillance cameras, and electronic security devices.
· Audits and investigates sources of known losses.
· Monitors inventory to identify theft or shortages.
· Investigates suspicious customer and/or employee activity.
· Conducts periodic inspections of stores and facilities to ensure surveillance and security equipment is functioning properly.
· Prepares reports of effectiveness of established prevention measures.
· Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures.
· Performs other duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Education and Experience:· Some management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:· Must be able to access all of the company’s properties to inspect security measures.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
