SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Region Construction Manager oversees all phases of residential construction for scattered-site spec and build-on-your-lot homes. The role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction activities in accordance with company standards and local building codes while achieving project schedules, budgets and quality expectations. The Region Construction Manager works closely with trade partners, resolves site-specific challenges, maintains strong communication with homeowners and ensures compliance with safety regulations and company processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-con meetings with homeowners prior to construction start where applicable.
- Assist with site feasibility reviews including but not limited to site conditions, topography, utilities, soil testing, permitting and HOA Architectural requirements.
- Develop and achieve construction schedules to meet cycle time goals.
- Coordinate with external trade partners and internal team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with building codes are enforced through regular site inspections and milestone walk-throughs.
- Manage budgets, cost variances, and reduce potential change orders.
- Approve invoices and verify work completion prior to payment processing.
- Engage in proactive conversations with homeowners throughout the build process.
- Conduct pre-drywall, quality walk and homeowner orientation meetings.
- Uphold and administer job site safety standards.
- Oversee warranty follow-up and ensure timely resolution of post-closing service items.
- Maintain required documentation within company systems.
- Ensure job sites and standing inventory are maintained in a clean and professional condition.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This role provides oversight and coordination of trade partners and crews working on job sites.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be needed at times.
TRAVEL
Travel within the assigned region is required to support job site oversight and team coordination.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years residential construction management experience.
- Experience managing multiple active job sites.
- Strong knowledge of residential building practices and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site plans.
- Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required and ability to travel between job sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates primarily in a residential construction universe and requires travel between projects. The position may involve outdoor work in varying weather conditions and exposure to active construction environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the ability to walk construction sites, stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move materials typically encountered in residential construction environments.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license required with ability to travel between job sites.
- Reliable vehicle and state-required insurance coverage.
