About This Position
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Director of Training and Compliance to lead the professional evolution of our clinical team. This role is the bridge between academic knowledge and clinical mastery. You will be responsible for molding our Behavior Technicians, Interns, and Masters-level Consultants into high-performing practitioners fully prepared to pass the BCBA exam, translate that knowledge to clinical services, and utilize our science in leadership roles.
At our core, we recognize that clinical excellence takes time. We are looking for a mentor who balances high standards for compliance with a supportive, developmental approach displaying a willingness to meet clinicians where they are in their acquisition of clinical mastery.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Training & Professional Development
- Program Oversight: Direct and refine the company-wide training program for all Intensive Behavior Technicians (IBTs).
- The Transition Pipeline: Design and implement a structured "Consultant-in-Training" curriculum to ensure Masters-level staff possess the clinical, soft, and administrative skills required for a successful transition to a BCBA role.
- Continuing Education: Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and curate an internal CEU program for both Technicians and Consultants, fostering a culture of lifelong learning.
- Supervision & Mentorship
- Supervision Leadership: Develop and oversee the supervision lifecycle for new and continuing employees, ensuring all BACB requirements are met with the highest integrity.
- Academic Partnerships: Work with the Administrative team to manage relationships with universities and organizations, providing interns with robust, real-world field experience.
- LMS Management: Lead the development and optimization of our Learning Management System (LMS) specifically for supervision tracking and educational modules.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Clinical Writing Mastery: Train and audit staff on the development of treatment plans, ensuring all goals are measurable, behavior plans are targeted, and documentation meets all insurance and regulatory requirements.
- Authorization Management: Ensure 100% compliance in treatment plan submissions to prevent lapses in care and ensure authorization efficiency.
- Records Integrity: Maintain impeccable records for billing and program services to support the health of the organization.
- Special Projects & Clinical Consulting
- High-Need Cases: Act as the lead consultant for complex cases, personally conducting or overseeing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) or Functional Analysis (FA’s) to ensure clinical breakthroughs.
- Leadership Liaison: Attend Clinical Leadership Team meetings to report on service quality, provider progress, and family outcomes.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and communicate concerns regarding program progress or provider performance to the Executive Leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Credential: Current BCBA certification in good standing (BCBA-D preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of post-certification experience in a clinical ABA setting
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience supervising interns and mentoring clinicians
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of BACB compliance, insurance authorization processes, and FBA methodology
- Technical Skills: Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and clinical data platforms
The Ideal Candidate
You are more than just a supervisor; you are an educator. You understand that the jump from a student to a Consultant is steep, and you take pride in constructing the "scaffolding" needed for others to climb. You have a "black belt" in compliance but a "heart" for mentorship, ensuring that every treatment plan produced by your team is both legally sound and clinically inspired.
Our Commitment: We understand that this is a multifaceted role. We are committed to providing you with the resources and time needed to develop these programs as we grow together.
