Overview:

The Buying Apprentice assists the dealership’s buying division in sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing pre-owned vehicles. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in vehicle appraisal, negotiation, and acquisition while learning dealership processes and market dynamics.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound and outbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and other internet based communication systems
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow up on leads to ensure satisfaction
• Confirm appointments each day in a timely fashion
• Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system.
• Work closely with the buying division to provide accurate information to customers.
• Be available to respond to phone and email inquiries in a professional, well-spoken manner
• Demonstrate dependability and attention to detail
• Display good time management skills by being productive with your time
• Display a sense of competitiveness and desire to do well in your role
• Support buyers with vehicle appraisals and market research
• Learn to identify profitable inventory opportunities
• Assist with customer trade-in evaluations and private party purchases

Requirements

• Open availability including evenings and weekends.
• Clean driving record
• Valid California drivers license.
• Ability to obtain a sales license from the DMV.
• Clean background check.
• Professional communication skills
• Positive attitude & strong work ethic
