Regional Maintenance Manager at Sandpiper Property Mgt – Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Description:

The Regional Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities across three extended stay hotel properties (WoodSpring Suites Hotels) in the Chesapeake/Virginia Beach markets. This individual will supervise the activities of the Maintenance Attendant(s) in each of the three properties and will work closely with the property General Managers while reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Operations.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervising, managing and prioritizing the activities of the property Maintenance attendants in the following job functions:

• All light and preventive maintenance of the facility interior and exterior….
• HVAC equipment maintenance
• Light electrical (changing outlets or wall switches)
• Light plumbing (plunging or snaking of toilets, toilet repair, unclogging sinks, faucet repair, etc.)
• Studio preventive maintenance programs (painting, caulking, identifying pest issues, janitorial work)
• Parking lot upkeep
• Maintenance of public spaces
• Executing the Quarterly Preventative Maintenance Program

Desired Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a public hotel or commercial plant or hospital environment
• Experience in leading and supervising a staff of 5 otr more technicians
• Adequate technical and communication skills to evaluate priorities and Communicate effectively with property and corporate level management
• Basic to advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, mechanical & painting.
