DESCRIPTION:

Visual Sound is seeking a Field Engineer/AV Commissioner for our Corporate Office in Broomall, PA. This position entails troubleshooting, re-installation, and maintenance of electronic audio/visual equipment, as well as installing and servicing systems efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize performance. The Field Engineer must possess effective communication regarding system performance with both customers and Installation Department and have the ability to assist our Technical Operations team performing installation and system commissioning work as needed.

Travel to client sites and occasional out of town travel is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Field commissioning of AV Systems and other Engineering related duties.
• Final commissioning of audio-visual equipment, including, but not limited to audio DSPs, CODECs, switchers, control systems, VTC systems, and video processors.
• Create user guides and train end users on how to use their A/V control systems.
• Refine current processes, develop a better workflow, and make recommendations.
• Clear communication and a professional, friendly demeanor
• Maintain documentation and organization of paperwork, tools, and company vehicle
• Work closely with the Technical Operations team, Installation Manager, and AV Integration Manager
• Provide a professional and safe working environment.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
• Minimum two years of AV experience is preferred
• A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
• Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) both hardware and software
• AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
