We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Locate Technician to join our team in Moberly, MO. The Locate Technician will be responsible for identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Locate and mark underground utilities such as gas, water, electric, and telecommunications lines using specialized equipment.
• Interpret utility maps, blueprints, and other documentation to accurately identify utility locations.
• Communicate with contractors, excavators, and other stakeholders to provide clear and accurate utility location information.
• Maintain accurate records of locate activities and report any discrepancies or issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent damage to underground utilities and ensure personal and public safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.
• Respond promptly to locate requests and complete assignments within established timeframes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to underground utility locating.

This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and may require walking, standing, and lifting equipment. The Locate Technician will often work independently and must be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
