The above pay range reflects the anticipated hourly range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Summary:
The Business Development Summer Intern, will have the opportunity to work alongside an expanding team and the system’s Chief Business Development Officer to gain knowledge and experience in business expansion and growth. This opportunity affords the intern the ability to work alongside our internal experts in finding new business opportunities, building relationships with new partners and in the planning, execution and monitoring of various business projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending and participating in Business Development meetings
- Shadowing Business Development team members in various divisions
- Assessing potential transaction opportunities
- Drafting indications of interest
- Conducting service line research to identify targets
- Summarizing new initiatives for executive leadership
- Attending strategy meetings with hospital/system leadership
- Assisting with budget development
- Analyzing proformas, quality of earnings reports, and financial statements
- Evaluating state and federal health laws
Education, Experience and Skills
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing business management, business administration, project management, sales, marketing and/or a related field.
