AMERICORPS PROGRAM MANAGER at Sinai Chicago – Chicago, Illinois

Position Purpose:

The Volunteer & Community Service Program Manager manages AmeriCorps members training and onboarding process, supervise members and act as the main point of contact for members on-site supervisors. The Program Manager also provides general clerical, programmatic, and marketing support to the department. this role represents the Sinai AmeriCorps Initiative throughout the health system and in the community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Complete program reports and submit to the Director for edits.
• Manage Corps Member on-boarding process.
• Conduct or co-conducts Corps Member Orientation.
• Support Corps Member recruitment and application process.
• Manage online recruitment efforts.
• Interview and conducts reference checks for candidates.
• Develop and implements new programs and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate up-to-date service descriptions.
• Identifie professional development opportunities for Corps Members.
• Coordinate trainings and in-service for Corps Members.
• Provide general clerical support to the department.
• Provide general programmatic support to the department.
• Provide outreach, recruitment, and marketing assistance.
• Identifie community events where members should be in attendance.
• Researche other Volunteer Service programs (specifically hospitals).
• Identifie best practices in the recruiting and managing Corps Members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, training, volunteer coordination or related field.
• Experience in event coordination and/or office management preferred.
