GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Join our linen fabrication team and be part of creating exceptional table linens and accessories that elevate special occasions. As a Linen Fabrication Associate, you will work closely with departmental leadership to cut and sew linens while ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to operate and thread various sewing machine models.
  • Juki – Single Needle
  • Juki – 4 thread MO-1515H
  • Singer – Single needle zig-zag stitch
  • Juki – 4 thread MO 3700 series
  • Juki – 5 thread MO 2500 series
  • Juki – 3 thread
• Fabricate linens from individual pieces cut from pattern. To create specific table linen sizes and accessories, as directed by leadership.
• Operate cutting machine.
  • DDR Cutting Machine RCS-100B
• Lay fabric and cut according to pattern and cut lists.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisor responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have 1-2 years of previous linen fabrication or sewing fabrication experience.
• Be able to operate and thread various sewing machines.
• Be detail-oriented and committed to producing consistent and high-quality work.
• Possess a strong work ethic and a passion for crafting linens.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Less than high school education is required.
• One to two years of previous linen fabrication or sewing fabrication experience is necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and speak basic English.
• Capable of understanding and following simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors to exchange accurate information regarding customer orders and equipment status.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using American units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly remain in a stationary position, move around, ascend/descend ladders, and position oneself at various heights.
• Carry, stack, and unstack equipment, as well as move equipment within the work area.
