Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
General Definition: Assists with ongoing marketing campaigns and promotions. Support property leadership on projects such as developing sales strategies, marketing campaigns, social media campaigns and on collecting and interpreting marketing analytics.
Supervision Received: Marketing Manager
Essential Job Functions:
- Take part in weekly marketing meetings
- Develop relationships with various personnel and departments to expedite workflow
- Review and edit company publications
- Execute promotional activities including exposure, staffing and signage
- Participate in special property promotions and create excitement for those involved
- Prepare statistical reports for post analysis and review
- Organize and maintain excel workbooks, documents and reports for promotions
- Involved in setup and teardown of live events
- Responsible for seeking out information regarding:
- Current marketing promotions.
- Special and group sales events.
- Hours of operation for casino, wagering, and all restaurants.
- Provides direction, assistance and/or information as may be required to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in competitive social media research
- Assist with overall day-to-day Marketing Operations and Event Management
- Develop and implement social media campaigns and outreach
- Assist with direct marketing campaigns -mailers, email blasts, texts
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in marketing
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Experience with managing multiple marketing projects from inception to completion, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly organized, efficiently able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with ease.
- Strong social media experience managing multiple channels across paid, owned, and earned media.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment
Training:
- Must be able to pass Title 31Training
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform job functions
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive/maintain a license or permit from the Shawnee Tribe’s Gaming Commission
- Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result
