C199674 Position Details
- Student: Small group class for a couple
- Availability: Mondays / Wednesdays / Fridays at 3:00 pm (US Eastern Time Zone)
- Preferred start date: ASAP
- Lesson Frequency: 2x a week
- Lesson Duration: 30-60 minutes for each session
- Student’s location/time zone: US, Eastern Time Zone
- Current target language level: Beginner level
- Student’s language needs and goals: They would like to be able to have basic conversations, exchange greetings, order at restaurants, and use words related to fashion, as their spouse is a designer at Burton. Learning snowboarding words and words around their industry, know how to interact with drivers for transport, have language around asking about if places are wheelchair accessible, basic left right / words like that that could be helpful to know when snowboarding with Japanese people. How to ask if they can bring their dog, and how to switch websites from Japanese to English (looking for the right Japanese terms to do this).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Design and implement customized curricula in alignment with learners' proficiency levels and objectives.
- Track and assess student progress, guiding them to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with students to ensure a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- To have native or near-native proficiency in the target language, both written and spoken.
- To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
- To have at least two years of Japanese language teaching experience
