Tool Technician This is a full-time on-site role for a tool room technician located in Bunker Hill, IN. The tooling technician is responsible for troubleshooting die and press related problems in the production environment. As the tool room technician, you will assist the Tool Manager in performing planned maintenance on tools and dies used during production activities on the stamping press lines. Span of responsibilities includes mold/die setting, verifying end product, identifying problems with the die, and effecting repairs to correct the issue in an industrial environment with a customer service mindset. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist in the setup of the tool shop, while we prepare for the initial product launch • Maintain accurate die history card records to prevent future manufacturing delays • Die steel welding as needed • Operation of overhead crane • Ability to read and interpret blueprints as needed • Operate forklift as needed • Operate manual machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, grinders, and drill press Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Two year's experience and training in tool and die or related experience preferred • Strong commitment to safety • Must possess basic knowledge of machine setup and operating procedures • Must have a basic understanding of the function and capabilities of the components of presses, robotic sensor technology, and other production equipment • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform all die adjustments within the production department • Must have excellent attention to detail and approach job duties with a mechanical approach • Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition • Participate in continuous improvement according to the 5S principles and KAIZEN culture, around and inside the facility • Ability to communicate and interact positively with team members from various • cultural backgrounds • The ability to prioritize tasks, drive process improvements, and thrive in a fast-paced environment • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a Plus Benefits • Competitive compensation • Company-wide Holidays • 10 vacation days, annually • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 75% company paid premium • 401(k) with employer matching • Professional growth opportunities • Team-building activities NexPlus offers a competitive benefits package for all eligible team members to support your life's journey.
