As a Companions / Home makers, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the companionship support seniors need to not be lonely at home
• Help with basic home keeping tasks including meal preparation, laundry, light cleaning and activities such as puzzles
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid NJ driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
