Imaging Services Associate at Columbus Regional Health – Columbus, Indiana

What you need to know about the position:

• Provides healthcare services, applying sonic energy and Doppler technology to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
• Must be able to perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate vascular anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner, and procedures in one of the following areas: OB/GYN, abdomen, neurosonology, and/or ophthalmology.
• Exercises professional judgment while incorporating the Standards of Service and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
• Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
• This level of practice is voluntary and self initiated. At this level the Technologist has refined expertise and a high level of proficiency in Vascular Technology and General Ultrasound.
• Standards of practice are integrated into the technologist’s daily activities with ease. The Technologist serves as a role model and teacher/preceptor in his/her specialty to other technologists and or students.
• Promotion to this level requires that the Technologist be registered and working in both areas of General Ultrasound and Vascular Lab.
