About the Role:

The Engineering Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering team in various manufacturing projects. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges. The intern will assist in the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of production processes. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD software or other engineering design tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of prototypes and products to ensure quality and performance standards.
  • Document findings and prepare reports to communicate results to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and deliverables.

Skills:

The required skills, such as a strong understanding of engineering principles, will be utilized daily as the intern engages in design and development tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will aid in documenting findings and preparing reports, ensuring clear communication with the engineering team. Part-time hours (approx. 20-30 hours/week). Flexible schedule during business hours of Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm.
