Biomedical Technician III at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides expert level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of all types of basic, intermediate, and advanced level clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments and systems. Inspects, installs, and provides preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Provides leadership level oversight of the equipment management program in concert with the Director, Support Services.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology OR
• Associate's degree in Electronics OR
• Equivalent hours of military training in electronics or biomedical electronics may substitute for Associate's degree
• 5 years of biomedical equipment maintenance in a hospital setting.
• Biomedical Electronics Certification from an approved certifying agency
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician from the Associated for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation
