We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Loan Processor to join our Loan Processing team at our Fort Atkinson location.

Position Summary:

The Loan Processor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan-related documents in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including loan processing and documentation, secondary market document preparation, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining accurate loan data within our system.

In accordance with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, performs a variety of operational and administrative tasks including but not limited to:

  1. Gather and organize documentation necessary for loan preparation and processing, including money orders and required loan tickets. Handle loan-related correspondence, ensuring accurate entry of information into the system and maintaining the quality of work.
  2. Handle large and/or complicated commercial loan documentation, including SBA, WHEDA, and loan participations (bought and sold). Prepare and process documents for secondary market transactions, including liaising with other mortgage companies and government programs. Understand contractual obligations and conduct all required bookings and follow-up reporting.
  3. Balance monthly reports for real estate and commercial specialized loans.
  4. Service a range of loans including installment, consumer, mortgage, and small commercial loans. Set up files, prepare documentation, accept and record payments, and calculate interest and rebates. Keep loan records updated, manage insurance, tax, financial statements, and documentation.
  5. Treat people with respect, keep commitments, inspire the trust of others, work with integrity and ethically, uphold organizational values, and accept responsibility for own actions.
  6. Follow policies and procedures, complete administrative tasks correctly and on time, support the Bank's goals and values, and benefit the bank through outside activities.

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of loan processing experience minimum.
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with a positive attitude to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must have basic to intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and standard office equipment, experience in loan operating systems are preferred.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with all internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to organize work, balance multiple priorities, and manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced, flexible work environment. Ability to handle a high volume of work with frequent interruptions and tight and often changing deadlines; demonstrate adaptability by adjusting priorities quickly to meet changing demands.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and technical aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Regular work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Variable overtime may be required.
