Join the SOI team at our state-of-the-art Medical Facility as a Medical Receptionist for our nationally known providers. At SOI we strive to provide the best patient experience in the industry.

Our physicians and staff work together to ensure that patients receive complete orthopedic care for problems of the bones, joints and muscles. SOI physicians are board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The team is composed of a Shoulder Specialist, Hand Specialist , Foot and Ankle Specialist, and two Physicians with 55 combined years of Hip and Knee Procedures. SOI Physicians are known regionally and throughout the world as leaders in their fields. They lecture frequently, train others and develop new surgical techniques and many of the breakthrough hardware used in today’s surgeries.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment bookings, including rescheduling and cancellations
  • Collect and process patient registration forms, insurance information, and other necessary documentation
  • Maintain and update patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate departments
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and faxing
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve any patient concerns or complaints
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Adhere to all office policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems, scheduling software, and electronic medical records
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry practices is preferred
