Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II in our Broomfield CO location. In this role, you will design and deliver electrical systems that control our world-class quantum computers. You will work cross-functionally to drive innovation, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to next generation’s technologies aligned with our research and production-focused objectives. The EE portfolio of products includes ADC/DACs, FPGA-based digital control, servo signal processing, laser locking and control, low-noise analog, motor control loops, low-light detection, and electrical interface electronics.

- Independently execute subsystem-level designs with limited oversight.
- Perform design, simulation, and validation of moderately complex circuits (analog, digital, or RF).
- Develop and debug FPGA modules, signal processing blocks, or control loops.
- Analyze test data and identify root causes of issues.
- Contribute to board bring-up and system integration activities.
- Document designs, test procedures, and results.
- Provide technical input in design reviews
- Design products using DFx best practices
- Work closely with cross functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, optical engineers, & scientists to develop electronics for use in our quantum computers
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more focus areas (FPGA, analog, RF, controls).
- Schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred).
- FPGA design and verification experience, including Xilinx software and IP, as well as VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.
- Ability to troubleshoot systematically and drive issues to closure.
- Proficiency in lab instrumentation and automated test setups.
- Working knowledge of signal integrity, noise, and filtering concepts.
- Experience with embedded control loops or digital signal processing is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $89,000 – $120,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
