Position Summary
The Systems Administrator I role primarily involves managing Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune, as well as assisting in the administration of company-owned iOS and BYOD mobile devices. In addition, you will provide basic support for Windows server environments, contributing to monitoring, patching, and day-to-day operations. This role will also assist in administering, managing, and maintaining the successful and continued operation of the bank’s servers and server-based applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists and supports the Infrastructure Team in delivering professional quality computing expertise to the Information Technology department.
- Enroll, configure, and maintain Windows 11 endpoints using Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy applications, updates, and patches through Intune.
- Monitor compliance, security baselines, and device health.
- Troubleshoot endpoint issues and escalate as needed.
- Intune administration and general software deployment for an enterprise environment.
- Application deployment includes customization tools such as Microsoft, Adobe and Java.
- Assist with configuration and support for company-owned iOS devices.
- Help manage BYOD iOS and Android devices through Intune’s MDM and MAM tools.
- Testing and installation of service pack upgrades, hot fixes and third-party application upgrades as needed.
- Create, maintain, upgrade, and deploy Server and Desktop Operating Systems and Intune’s associated infrastructure capability.
- Perform routine checks on Windows Server systems (e.g., disk usage, services, event logs).
- Assists and supports the Infrastructure Team in managing, monitoring, and maintaining all servers, server-based applications (such as email, email filtering, email archiving, Web filtering, file and print services), backup/restore functions, and directory services management.
- Implements best practices for administering and securing servers and server-based applications.
- Participates in providing server performance monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and optimization.
- Proactively and assertively address issues as they arise. Advises management on networking requirements and problems. Makes cost-effective recommendations.
- Participate in developing and documenting procedures for managing servers, including the development, and testing of business continuity plans.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots server operating systems, network operating systems, and server-based application software as directed including backup/restores and troubleshooting.
- Serves as an escalation point/resource for Level I Technicians to resolve workstation-related and application-related issues.
- Proactively and assertively address issues as they arise.
- Coordinates with staff at various levels within Security Bank of Kansas City and with vendors and consultants, as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

· Solid troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
· Demonstrate an understanding of patch management and application delivery including Windows Autopatch.
· Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Intune, including the key components:
o Device Configuration and Compliance Policies
o Autopilot
o Software Deployment
o Scripts and Remediations
· Relative experience configuring servers and Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
· Familiarity with Windows 11, iOS, and Android platforms.
· Demonstrate an understanding of with client/server application interoperability.
· Demonstrate an understanding of supporting, configuring, and administering:
o Active Directory
o Group Policy
o Intune Modern Policy
o PowerShell
· Operational understanding of: IP-based network technologies; computer-related security issues as they relate to securing Microsoft Windows Servers; VPNs; and VLANs.
· Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse individuals, including negotiation skills.
· Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.
· Understanding of IT security best practices and patch management processes.
· Remains composed under stress and take responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational commitments.
· Solid problem-solving skills and ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused manner.
· Possession of a valid driver’s license, to include the ability to travel locally.
· Preferences will be given to candidates who have banking industry experience, relevant technology certifications.
· In addition to possessing the skills necessary to perform the job, the employee must be willing and able to demonstrate these skills by coming to work daily.
Minimum Education
· Associate’s degree in an information technology-related field and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
