Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of the collision repair process, ensuring vehicles move efficiently through production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role coordinates technicians, parts, estimators, and vendors to maximize productivity, minimize cycle time, and deliver repairs on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily production schedule and monitor vehicle flow from disassembly through final delivery.
- Coordinate repair plans with estimators, technicians, paint department, and parts personnel.
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor cycle times, touch times, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve production goals.
- Conduct daily production meetings to review repair status, identify bottlenecks, and establish priorities.
- Inspect repairs throughout the production process to ensure quality workmanship.
- Work closely with parts personnel to ensure timely ordering, receipt, and organization of parts.
- Resolve production delays and communicate repair updates with estimators and customer service staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while enforcing OSHA and company safety policies.
- Assist in technician scheduling, workload balancing, and performance coaching.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with insurance partners and vendors as needed to ensure timely repair completion.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures and OEM repair standards.
- 3–5 years of collision repair management or production management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, vehicle construction, and OEM repair procedures.
- Experience with estimating and shop management software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple repairs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

- Frequent movement throughout the production floor and shop environment.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and around automotive equipment.

- Efficient technician productivity and shop throughput
