Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Architect based in the United States.
This is a hands-on architecture role focused on shaping complex custom application, AI, and MarTech solutions from discovery through production delivery.
You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architectures while remaining deeply involved in implementation.
A major focus will be designing production-grade agentic AI systems with appropriate governance, observability, and human oversight.
You will collaborate directly with clients, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to turn emerging technologies into practical business solutions.
The role combines technical leadership, consulting, engineering, mentorship, and participation in strategic pursuits.
You will also help establish reusable architecture patterns, AI accelerators, and engineering frameworks that strengthen future delivery.
This is a remote opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys solving challenging problems in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
- Lead technical discovery and define end-to-end architectures for custom application, AI, and MarTech engagements, including system diagrams, data flows, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps.
- Architect and support the delivery of production-grade agentic AI solutions incorporating tool use, function calling, multi-agent workflows, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, memory and state management, and autonomous task orchestration.
- Use Claude Code and other modern AI-assisted development tools to build, validate, troubleshoot, and accelerate solutions while maintaining strong engineering and security standards.
- Evaluate AI opportunities during architecture and recommend appropriate build, integration, or orchestration approaches based on business value, risk, scalability, and maintainability.
- Establish AI governance and observability practices covering output monitoring, evaluation, access controls, data protection, human verification, and safeguards against prompt injection and data leakage.
- Design cloud-native distributed applications using .NET/C#, React/Next.js, Azure, modern APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, databases, containers, and CI/CD practices.
- Partner with clients, business stakeholders, and pursuit teams to shape solutions, conduct technical discovery, develop estimates, and contribute to proposals and statements of work.
- Mentor engineers and strengthen architectural capabilities across delivery teams through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and practical coaching.
- Create reusable application patterns, AI accelerators, agentic workflow blueprints, and integration frameworks that can improve consistency and delivery efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging AI, software architecture, cloud, and development technologies and identify opportunities to apply them to client solutions.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial experience working in an architecture capacity.
- Proven hands-on experience delivering agentic AI solutions in production using real business data and operational workflows, beyond prototypes, demonstrations, or controlled pilots.
- Practical experience using Claude Code to develop solutions; experience integrating Anthropic, OpenAI, or other large language model APIs is highly valuable.
- Strong technical depth in either .NET/C# or React/Next.js, combined with credible hands-on experience architecting solutions across both technology areas.
- Extensive experience with custom application and cloud-native architecture, including distributed systems, APIs, relational and non-relational databases, modern software delivery practices, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms such as Storyblok, SitecoreAI, or comparable technologies.
- Strong understanding of AI governance, observability, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt architecture, model evaluation, and security considerations for production AI systems.
- Experience designing scalable solutions using Azure, microservices, event-driven patterns, containerization, and CI/CD.
- Consulting and client-facing experience with commercial enterprise organizations, along with the communication skills and judgment required to guide stakeholders through complex technical decisions.
- Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and ability to work effectively across changing technologies, priorities, and project requirements.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to influence technical direction without relying solely on formal authority.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
- This role is remote within the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone and consideration for candidates in the Central time zone. Candidates residing in California, Colorado, Oregon, or Washington are not eligible.
- Flexible remote work within the United States.
- Competitive compensation.
- Opportunity to solve meaningful business challenges through modern application development and AI.
- Exposure to high-impact client engagements across multiple industries.
- Opportunities to work with emerging AI technologies and production-grade agentic systems.
- Supportive environment focused on continuous learning, innovation, and technical growth.
- Opportunities to mentor engineers and influence architectural practices and reusable technology standards.
- Collaborative, client-facing work spanning strategy, engineering, data, and digital transformation.
