Job Description
CHEM Group is a custom chemical processor with expertise in various distillation technologies, pastillation, blending, reaction chemistry purification and heat transfer fluids.
We are currently looking for a dependable Material Handler. This position is a 12 hr rotating dupont schedule with built in Overtime every 2 weeks and a starting pay of $21/hr plus a night shift differential of $1/hr!!! We are also offering a SIGN-ON BONUS of $3,000!!!!!
What is a Material Handler?
A Material Handler is responsible for loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals from and onto tank trucks, box vans, railcars, and other shipping containers.
What do I have to do?
· Daily involvement with material handling activities such as loading and unloading tankers, box vans, and other transportation vessels.
· Plant housekeeping activities including but not limited to cleaning, painting, and lawn maintenance (mowing/weed eating)
· Conducting physical inventory
· Complete documents
· Collect samples
· Assist plant operations personnel as instructed
· Ongoing training to acquire additional skills to become a Technician Level 2
· Other job duties/requirements may be assigned or changed to adapt to business needs
· Abide by the principles in the EHS&S mission statement.

Requirements: Requirements
- Ability to effectively read, write, and understand English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g., arithmetic, fractions, proportions, basic algebra)
- Ability to successfully complete any additional training required for specific projects or processes.
- Must comply with drug and alcohol testing policy as set forth in the Chem Group Employee Handbook
- Responsibilities and training outlined in the RCRA Hazwaste Job Duties Matrix
- Pass the fit for duty requirements
- Ability to climb stairs, use a ladder and lift 60 pounds
- Wear required personal protective equipment which shall always include appropriate eye protection, a hard hat, and steel toed work shoes. Additional personal protective equipment may also be required from time to time.
