What Value This Role Will Bring

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Bergen Cable's financial operations. This position supports day-to-day accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash applications, reconciliations, and month-end close processes while helping ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including account analysis and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, cash applications, collections support, and vendor payment administration.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing industry experience
• ERP system experience, preferably Infor SyteLine
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000
