The role is responsible for managing and improving Workday Absence Management solutions, ensuring reliable system performance, effective configuration, and alignment with business needs. You will support continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to successful HR technology transformations through the following responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Workday Absence Management modules, including absence plans, accruals, eligibility rules, and related processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions using structured problem-solving and design methodologies.
- Perform system testing, quality assurance, and validation activities to ensure accurate configurations and reliable integrations.
- Partner with HR, IT, and business teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and implement system enhancements.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, improve absence policies, and provide insights through reporting and performance metrics.
- Support change management initiatives, including documentation, user training materials, and communication activities.
- Contribute to product ownership activities by prioritizing enhancements, managing requirements, and ensuring solutions deliver business value.
- Assist with project and program management activities related to Workday implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and new platform capabilities to identify opportunities for process optimization.

- Proven experience configuring and supporting Workday Absence Management modules.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, absence management practices, and enterprise HR technology solutions.
- Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into system configurations.
- Ability to perform data analysis, reporting, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Experience with configuration management, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking, Agile practices, and transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting retail operations or large-scale workforce environments is preferred.
