Shift: Varies Based on Resident Needs

Job Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other designated locations.
- Assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, conducting routine checks and reporting any issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Communicate effectively with nursing home staff and residents regarding transportation schedules and changes.
- Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with residents during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Assist with loading and unloading residents' mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or unexpected situations during transport.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Familiarity with local routes and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of residents.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.
- Must pass a caregiver background check and motor vehicle record (MVR).
