This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful mental health support to employees through a trusted Employee Assistance Program (EAP) network.
You will deliver confidential, evidence-based counselling services across multiple formats, including in-person, virtual, and telephonic sessions.

Accountabilities:

The Affiliate EAP Counsellor will provide professional counselling services while ensuring adherence to clinical standards, documentation requirements, and operational processes. The role requires strong clinical judgment, empathy, and the ability to support employees through diverse personal and workplace-related challenges.

  • Deliver confidential counselling sessions through face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic channels based on assigned cases and client needs.
  • Apply evidence-based, short-term, solution-focused therapeutic approaches tailored to workplace wellness and employee support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring all case notes are completed within required timelines and meet quality standards.
  • Follow established case authorization procedures and ensure counselling services are initiated only through approved processes.
  • Identify high-risk situations, crisis cases, and clinical concerns while following defined escalation procedures and service-level requirements.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards throughout all employee interactions.
  • Adhere to payment governance policies, including centralized billing processes and non-solicitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical operations teams and contribute to consistent global care standards.
  • Represent the values of compassion, professionalism, and clinical excellence in every interaction.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a qualified mental health professional with strong counselling experience and the ability to provide high-quality employee support in a flexible network environment.

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, MPhil, or PhD.
  • Valid professional license or registration to practice counselling in India.
  • Minimum of two years of post-qualification clinical experience after completion of a Master’s degree.
  • Previous experience delivering Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of short-term, solution-focused therapy models and workplace mental health practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as stress management, occupational burnout, relationship concerns, grief counselling, and family or creative therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships across in-person, virtual, and telephone counselling formats.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical and operational teams.
  • Fluency in Hyderabadi Hindi / Deccani is required to effectively support local employees.
