This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a General Accountant based in United States.
This is a hands-on accounting opportunity within a fast-paced, scaling technology environment.
You will support core financial operations spanning accounts payable, expenses, cash management, reconciliations, and month-end close.
The role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records and strengthening operational efficiency as the organization grows.
You will collaborate closely with teams across Engineering, Sales, FP&A, and People Operations to ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time.
The position also offers exposure to financial systems, automation initiatives, internal controls, and audit activities.
This is a detail-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working with modern cloud-based finance tools.
The opportunity is offered on a temporary basis, with potential for conversion to a full-time position.
- Support the full accounts payable process, including invoice entry, approval workflows, and timely payments through procure-to-pay platforms.
- Manage travel and expense activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and reconciling related liability accounts within ERP systems.
- Maintain cash activity by uploading bank statements, performing cash matching, and completing bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end close through journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for accounts payable, cash, and other assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate vendor information and assist with 1099 reporting requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, FP&A, People Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate expense classification and timely invoice processing.
- Contribute to cash management and forecasting by maintaining accurate and timely financial data.
- Help strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and best practices.
- Assist with financial audits and other compliance activities as needed.
- Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve ERP and financial system functionality.
- Help scale accounting operations by supporting process improvements and system optimization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably within software, SaaS, or technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Campfire, or Rillet, as well as procure-to-pay tools such as Bill.com or Ramp.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and similar functions, with confidence using cloud-based financial applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or international accounting operations is a plus.
- CPA certification or progress toward a CPA is advantageous.
- Experience with financial automation, ERP optimization, balance-sheet and income-statement flux analysis, or SaaS accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with travel and expense platforms such as Navan, Expensify, or Concur is a plus.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining reliable collaboration and availability aligned with business needs.
- $65,000–$80,000 annual compensation range, with placement based on relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
