Facilities & Maintenance Manager in Syracuse, New York at Lofberg Group Inc.

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Manager to support the maintenance and repair needs of our 22 restaurant locations. This position will help keep our facilities and equipment safe, functional, and well maintained by completing general repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating specialized services when needed.

• Perform general maintenance and routine repairs at restaurant locations
• Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and determine the appropriate next steps
• Complete minor repairs to doors, locks, hardware, fixtures, shelving, walls, ceilings, and other building components
• Address routine plumbing-related maintenance, such as minor leaks, faucets, toilets, sinks, and clogs, when appropriate
• Perform basic carpentry, patching, painting, assembly, and other general facility work
• Troubleshoot restaurant equipment and complete general repairs within the scope of the position
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment failures and emergency repairs
• Identify potential maintenance concerns before they become larger or more costly issues
• Determine when repairs should be referred to a qualified, licensed, certified, or specialized service provider
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
• Assist with obtaining parts, tools, materials, and maintenance supplies
• Follow up on open repairs to ensure maintenance issues are resolved
• Help identify recurring equipment or facility problems and communicate concerns to management
• Assist management in evaluating whether equipment should be repaired or replaced
• Maintain organized records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and outstanding issues
• Communicate with restaurant and operations management regarding repair status and priorities
• Prioritize maintenance requests across multiple restaurant locations based on urgency and operational impact
• Travel regularly between restaurant locations
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs as reasonably required
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable laws, regulations, manufacturer instructions, and workplace safety requirements
• Perform other related facilities and maintenance duties as assigned

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, construction, property maintenance, restaurant maintenance, or a related field preferred
• Broad knowledge of general building and equipment maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools
• Ability to recognize when a repair requires specialized professional service
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between restaurant locations as required

The physical requirements of this position may include:

• Regularly standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and working in and around restaurant facilities
• Using hand and power tools
• Climbing ladders when necessary to perform job duties
• Moving and carrying tools, parts, supplies, and equipment
• Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Working in indoor and outdoor environments and around operating restaurant equipment

This position performs general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. Work requiring a specific professional license, certification, permit, or specialized qualification will be referred to an appropriately qualified service provider.
