Job Description

Recruiter - Business (Contract)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Recruiter - Business (Contract) based in Canada.

As a Contract Recruiter, you will play a key role in scaling a high-growth technology organization’s Go-To-Market teams across North America. You will own full-cycle recruitment for positions spanning sales, business development, partnerships, account management, sales engineering, integrations, and related functions. Working closely with hiring managers and talent leadership, you will shape hiring strategies, build strong pipelines, and provide valuable market insights. The role combines proactive sourcing, candidate engagement, stakeholder partnership, and data-driven recruiting. You will have significant ownership over the candidate journey, ensuring every interaction is professional, transparent, and respectful. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, globally distributed, and highly autonomous. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruiter who thrives on ambiguity, enjoys building processes, and wants to make a measurable impact on organizational growth.

Accountabilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for GTM positions across the United States and Canada, including sales, business development, sales engineering, integrations, account management, partnerships, and related roles.
  • Own the complete candidate journey from initial outreach and sourcing through interviews, offer negotiation, and close.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines using job boards, inbound applicants, outbound sourcing, social media, professional networks, and personal connections.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, develop compelling job descriptions, establish hiring strategies, and define candidate profiles.
  • Serve as a trusted recruiting advisor by providing market intelligence, talent mapping, funnel recommendations, compensation context, and candidate calibration.
  • Manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and adapting quickly as business needs evolve.
  • Deliver a thoughtful, responsive, and transparent candidate experience throughout every stage of the hiring process.
  • Track recruiting performance and use data, reporting, and funnel insights to identify opportunities for improving hiring outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of recruiting processes as the organization scales.
  • Apply knowledge of broader People Operations practices, including onboarding support, compliance, job architecture, and compensation principles.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders across different functions, seniority levels, and North American markets.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 3 years within a high-growth technology startup or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience recruiting Go-To-Market roles, particularly sales, post-sales, marketing, partnerships, business development, or related positions within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on recruiting experience across North America, with a strong understanding of the differences and nuances across US and Canadian talent markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions, move quickly, reprioritize effectively, and consistently drive searches toward successful hires.
  • Strong proactive sourcing and talent-pipeline development capabilities across multiple channels.
  • Data-driven approach to recruiting, with comfort using ATS platforms, recruiting analytics, reporting, and funnel metrics; experience with Ashby is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Notion and modern recruiting and collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • General knowledge of People Operations, including exposure to onboarding, compliance, job architecture, process improvement, and compensation philosophies.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building effective processes where established frameworks may not yet exist.
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, organization, and accountability.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for talent acquisition, people, and building strong workplace cultures.
Benefits
  • Monthly compensation of CA$12,000–CA$18,000, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and interview performance.
  • Competitive cash and equity compensation.
  • Early exercise opportunities for eligible options, including pre-vested options.
  • Remote-first work environment with the flexibility to work from home or another suitable location.
  • Flexible paid time off and a year-end break.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents, where applicable in Canada.
  • RRSP matching of up to 4%, where applicable.
  • MacBook Pro provided for work.
  • One-time home-office setup stipend for items such as a desk, chair, monitor, and other equipment.
  • Monthly meal stipend.
  • Monthly social meet-up stipend.
  • Annual health and wellness stipend.
  • Annual learning and professional development stipend.
  • Opportunity to work alongside high-performing professionals within a rapidly growing, globally distributed technology organization.
  • Meaningful opportunity to influence recruiting strategy, processes, and organizational growth.
